Training
To race at your best you have to start with consistent, intelligent training. The training you need varies drastically though depending on the type of race that you’re training for. Training for a marathon typically takes between 3-5 months and involves short runs, long runs, tempo training and more. If you’re preparing for a 5k or a 10k then your length of training is much more abbreviated, as are the miles you run. Tempo may be much higher though so speed work will be a crucial component of your race training.
